Eric Free joined Rovi in 2001 and serves as executive vice president, product development, responsible for all core software and web services development. Prior to this role, Mr. Free served as executive vice president of the Embedded Solutions Business Unit, vice president of business development and strategy, head of business development for the Entertainment Technology Group, and as an executive on the corporate development team. Prior to joining Rovi, Mr. Free headed business development for a leading streaming media technology company, worked for several venture capital funds, and led engineering teams for a multinational professional services firm. He holds a B.S. in Engineering from Duke University, a M.S in Engineering from Stanford University, an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a M.A, concentrating in international affairs, from Georgetown University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
