Samir Armaly

Executive Vice President, Intellectual Property and Licensing

Samir Armaly is Rovi's executive vice president, worldwide intellectual property and licensing.

Mr. Armaly joined Rovi in May 2008, in connection with the acquisition of Gemstar-TV Guide International, and served as senior vice president of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Rovi until his promotion in January 2012. From 2001-2008, Mr. Armaly held various positions at Gemstar in their legal group including executive vice president of IP and Licensing.

Mr. Armaly holds a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia.
