Rovi Corporation (NASDAQ: ROVI) and Australia’s Hills Industries Limited group (ASX: HIL), through its DGTEC business, today announced that Hills and Rovi have entered into a multi-year patent license agreement for interactive program guide (IPG) patents owned by Rovi.
The High Court of Justice in the United Kingdom has issued its judgment in Rovi’s patent infringement litigation against Virgin Media. Rovi had sued Virgin Media for infringing three interactive program guide patents issued in the U.K. The Court found that Virgin had infringed each of the patents but also found them to be invalid.
