The digital TV transition is the switch from traditional analog TV to digital TV. On June 12, 2009 traditional over-the-air analog TV broadcasts are scheduled to be shut off in the United States. Consumers who have TVs or recorders which only have analog tuners and therefore cannot receive digital television signals may be affected by the transition.
