Rovi's Passport Applications enrich the digital cable subscriber's television experience with new features such as Caller ID, interactive games and puzzlers, and interactive weather. Revenue generating applications such as iSubscribe enable digital cable TV subscribers to order service packages instantly from their TV remote control. Cost saving applications include Webnostics, which enables digital cable TV operators to remotely access real-time diagnostics information about an individual TV set top box.

ShowRunner VOD
Passport® has a fully integrated On Demand client services feature that can be headend configured for a variety of On Demand services including SVOD. Typically genres or categories are menu scrollable on the horizontal plane menu and titles are vertically scrollable. The menu's intuitive nature easily walks a viewer through the On Demand purchase process.

Venue
Venue is a configurable and biaxial navigational interface with scrollable categories on the horizontal axis and scrollable listings on the vertical axis. Venue can be set as the default power-on channel to promote premium channels and to help guide subscribers to the most popular services. Venue can also be used to create an intuitive hierarchical interface seamlessly linking any navigational, informational or revenue generating services with multiple Venue virtual channels. Enrich the subscriber's interactive experience while driving revenue with Venue.

iSubscribe™
iSubscribe™ is an impulse subscription application that enables a viewer to order service packages instantly with their remotes. This innovative revenue generating tool enables cable operators to customize a library of service offerings and present them to viewers in an intuitive categorized format. Viewers can purchase services from the library screen, or directly from the channel to which they would like to subscribe, through the Single offer screen.

Harvest
Harvest is a viewership data collection tool that enables cable operators to track the aggregate utilization of their cable services. Because the usage data is available on demand, cable operators will be able to make critical programming and advertising decisions based on real-time data. A basic daily report generated from the collection of logs is included within Harvest as well as daily raw database files for advanced data mining. With a third party application, aggregate statistics about DVR, VOD and IPG usage can also be extracted from the logs for analysis. Harvest is available for Passport®, Passport DCT™ 3.0 and Passport Echo® 3.0.

Interactive Video Mosaic
Interactive Video Mosaic provides cable operators with customizable or template-based video venues to display multiple thumbnail video streams on one channel. Viewers can use the arrow buttons on their remotes to highlight individual video streams to hear the audio. In addition, more information about the programs can be displayed by pressing the 'Info' button, and programs can also be recorded directly from the Interactive Video Mosaic when viewed with Passport Echo on DVR set-tops.

Caller ID
Caller ID engineered for the SA Platform, is a downloadable channel application that is compatible with any back-end Caller ID solution. First deployed in May of 2004, Caller ID conveniently displays a banner at the top of the screen with the phone number and name of the incoming caller. The viewer can also display a call history summary of up to four phone lines by accessing the Caller ID virtual channel.

Passport Weather™
Passport Weather™ is an interactive weather application that provides a five day local forecast in addition to access to weather forecasts from up to 150 different cities. Simply press the 'A' button on the remote and select from a list of cities. Multiple city zip codes can be configured at the headend.  Passport Weather is currently an available feature of Passport™ and Passport Echo™.

Remote Wizard™
Remote Wizard™ is an integrated application that teaches viewers how to program their multi function remote controls to operate other devices such as a VCR or TV. The application is high resolution, and can display all of the remotes deployed in a cable system. Viewers can select their remote and then follow the step-by-step process of selecting devices, and entering in the remote codes to control those devices - all while watching the current channel in scaled video. Remote Wizard is currently an available feature of Passport® and Passport Echo™.

Webnostics®
Webnostics® is a server-based operational tool designed to work in conjunction with Passport® to improve operational efficiency. Webnostics allows the cable TV operator to remotely access real-time diagnostics information from an individual set-top through the use of a locally installed Web browser on any PC with intranet Web access. Now you can access individual set-top diagnostics information from virtually anywhere! Webnostics installs directly on the Passport Application Server, so no additional servers are required. Installation of the application is supported by Pioneer over the phone, and training takes only a few minutes.

PassTime™Games
PassTime™Games is a collection of popular solitaire card games that a viewer can play while watching their favorite shows in scaled video. High scores are retained, so the whole household can compete for the top score. Instructions are simple, and help screens are just a click away. PassTime Games is designed to work with Passport® and Passport Echo™.
